As an ethical breeder, we strive to ensure any puppies we create are placed in forever homes and that we communicate with those homes for the remainder of that dog’s life. It is important to us that if circumstances change and a family can no longer handle having one of our dogs that they are returned to us. Unfortunately for many Berners, they have not been so lucky as to come from breeders who hold themselves accountable to the animals they have created. For this reason, there are many initiatives put forth by the Breed Club that help to ensure that happy, healthy Berners are able to find forever homes when they find themselves in a tough spot.
